I like to take vintage home decorating ideas and recreate them in my own home. In the mid-2000’s, I lived in a 1950s/60’s modern home that was so “hip” and was completely out of the box for me. I still have it in my “backyard” with a brick chimney, which is why I call it mid century modern.
The thing is that I like to paint everything in my living room and bathroom for an art of living. You make the biggest impact you can, especially with a big, old fireplace. The thing is that you can get very high so that you can make the most out of your whole living space.
This is where I become really excited about the idea of painting my next home. I love it because the idea of painting your kitchen counter and your dining room table is so absurd that you have to do it anyway. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but we have an entire kitchen counter and dining table that is so crazy and weird that I have no idea how we’re going to paint it.
So, the question you have to ask yourself is “does the kitchen counter and dining table need to be painted?” If you can paint it, go ahead. But if you cant, and you are not able to paint it, then it is time to reconsider your house.

The new website for MidCentury Modern Cabin is actually not new. It is actually from the same developer who created the website for The Real Estate Agency (The Real Estate Agency is one of my favorite sites). It is the same website, however.
What makes MidCentury Modern Cabin different from the other sites they have built is that it is an actual, well… actual, piece of real estate. It is literally a piece of real estate. However, it is not a piece of real estate that can’t be seen, touched, or even smelled. What is different is that it is a place of real estate. There is no fake wall. There is no fake landscaping. There is no fake pool. There is no fake cabin.
I know what you’re thinking, and your guess is as good as mine. But I’m going to have to disagree with you. A piece of real estate is nothing more than a piece of real estate. A piece of real estate that can’t be seen, touched, or even smelled. It is the only thing we have that will allow us to make the right decision when we need to.
You can’t be too careful. When you buy a house, you can always hire someone to paint the whole place a different color and pretend it’s new. So you can go out and buy the same house but pretend it’s a new one. Or you can put up a sign on the front yard that says: “This is the house you see right now, and this is the house you’ll have in a few years.
The real estate industry tends to be a bit like the art movement, where you can take any old house and change it into an art gallery (and even then, it’s usually a bit silly and kitschy). In real estate though, we are talking about the art of the house itself. In mid century modern, the house itself is supposed to be a work of art.
