The art of carving is actually very simple. Most of us like to carve something and then, after the first cut, we forget about the first cut. In other words, the piece doesn’t really seem to have any value until it is broken or discarded. It is a small step to take away the waste, but carving is truly a labor of love.
The problem with carving is that it is very much like a sculptor making a piece of art. You will do what you can to make the piece more interesting. You will use your imagination about what the piece should be, and of course, you will try to keep the piece from being thrown away. But once you are done carving, you really have to put a lot of thought into how you want the piece to feel and look until you are satisfied with it.
As you can see in the image above, I have carved a piece of wood to look like a face. This is a real piece of work, and I have put a lot of thought into it. The face is not perfect. There are flaws in it that I could have, and should have, fixed, but I did not. The result is a rough face, but it is a real piece of work. I am truly proud of what I have done.
It’s good to be proud of our work, but it’s also good to be aware of what we could have done differently. I know that every piece of wood I carve is completely unique and never the same again, so I know that I can’t go back in time and change it.
So I can’t really complain. The art is incredible, and I am so happy to have all these wonderful artists in my life.I never had any problems in the art, but I do have some really good characters that I would like to use as a part of the story.
Ok, so I know that wood carving can be a challenge, and I can’t deny that. But I think it’s so important to be aware of your craft.
One of the great benefits of having a community like Craftspiration is that the artists are also members of the Craftspiration community. So we feel that it is very important that you are aware of the importance of your work. It is not for everyone, but if you feel strongly about your craft and want to keep it, then this is the place for you.
I do agree with the statement “If you don’t understand wood carving, then you don’t have a choice.” I know it might sound harsh, but if you do understand wood carving then do it. I think that doing it is more important than just having a community of artists that care about everything, and that’s the way it is with wood carving.
As it turns out, wood carving can be a very solitary endeavor. It’s an art, a craft, and it can be a solitary endeavor if you let it be, and do what you’re doing. But if you really want to be a sculptor, then you will be. And if you really want to be a sculptor, then you will not just be a sculptor, you will be a sculptor with a community of sculptors that care about your work.
Wood carving is one of those things that requires a little more attention than just a community of artists, but it is something that takes a little more effort, and a lot more practice. The reason for this is because although you can have a pretty simple project, if you want to be a good sculptor, then you need to spend a few years learning and practicing. The other reason is that its a really hard craft to master.
