I was looking for a platform bed for a new house I was considering moving into. In the end, I settled on this one, because I’m such a fan of grady solid wood. It can be a bit tricky to get right in the beginning, but once you do, it is unbelievably comfortable.

In the trailer, we see a large wooden platform bed (in the style of a platform in a steampunk house) and it’s described as being solid wood. It seems rather heavy, to be honest, and the fact that it’s made out of wood doesn’t exactly lend itself to a comfortable night’s sleep. However, it seems like a pretty cheap way to get a simple bed that doesn’t require a whole lot of upkeep.
Well I just took a whole bunch of wood and glued it together to make this. I could have made it out of metal, but I wanted to use wood. It was a lot cheaper than buying a whole lot of wood and a lot of nails to glue in.
