I’ve been living in an apartment building in a great location on a great block for almost 4 years now. My apartment building is located near one of the most beautiful and historic parts of Baltimore. There are a lot of architectural and historical sites nearby and it’s just such a beautiful location. It’s hard to ignore the gorgeous views of the city and the wooded views from your windows.
But my apartment is the first house in our building to suffer from a large amount of tree damage. Its not really a big deal to me, but it is a big deal to the architects. We had a lot of conversations about it, and after a lot of research we found it to be a huge factor in what the building looks and feels like.
Tree damage happens all of the time in new construction. In most cases, its usually when the builders cut away a major chunk of the home’s exterior. This causes the roof to fall in, creating the impression that something has been removed from the building. I am not sure what is happening with this building, but I have read that the roof has a similar problem, and if it does, it might be a big enough deal that a tree would die.
In this case, the actual roof is being replaced. It is not, however, a tree.
This is something I am sure everyone who has ever had a new construction home has experienced. Not every builder has the same level of detail about their work. It is possible, though, that this isn’t the case. It could be that the roof is being replaced by something that is actually living. It could be the end of the building; maybe it fell in and has been slowly rotting away for a long time.
