diy is a popular way of growing wood. There are many ways of doing so, but the one that I use is to make a “stump” out of any hard wood that you can possibly find, such as cedar, pine, or even hard branches. Drill a hole through the wood and then drill a larger hole to fit your stand.
The way it works is you have a piece of wood and you drill a hole into it. Then you drill a hole in that piece of wood that is a similar size as the smaller hole in the stump. This will create a hole that is large enough to fit the stand onto the stump. In my case I drilled two holes, one being for the light stand and one being for a screw that holds the stand together.
