My husband and I spent 3 months in the middle of the month to build our new house. The house didn’t have concrete walls, so the first part of the job was to install wooden gates with wood infill. The only issue we had was the wood infill being too thin—we needed more to cover the walls. We ended up redoing the infill and adding the finishing touches ourselves so we were able to get it finished in time for our Christmas gift-giving.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of someone doing this. I think if we all spent our time building things instead of buying them, we could accomplish a lot more in our lives.

This one is pretty awesome. The wood infill is actually made using the existing wood that was used in the structure. So instead of having two separate structures, it’s a single structure that is covered in the same wood, which is a huge plus.

All in all, my only gripe with this project was that the infill was not quite seamless. Not sure what the deal is with infills. It was just one big rectangle of wood. With the infill, you can see the wood growing in, but as soon as the gates are open, the wood is gone.
