I’ve been wanting a wood carving disc for my woodworking for a long time. This one seems to be perfect as I wanted to give it a nice finish on top and a nice edge at the bottom. It is a great size so you can carve a long, thin disc. I think I’ll be using it for everything I work on this summer, and I’ll probably be making a set for myself.
The disc is made of solid aluminum and the blades are a nice steel, but the aluminum is nice and durable. I think it might actually be a good idea if you use them with a cutting wheel. I usually use a regular edge wheel and then I use the blade to move the wheels around to give me a better edge. If you use the blade like this, you can use the disc to make straight cuts as well.
I have to admit, it sounds like a good idea. I’m not sure about cutting discs with an angle grinder though, as the edges are really sharp, and the grinder can probably gouge you and make you have to use a bluntedge, and the discs I’ve heard are pretty heavy. I think a small wood wheel would be the best.
With these things being so sharp, it may be a good idea to avoid sharp edges altogether. And if you do use an angle grinder, I’ve heard that the discs are quite heavy and bulky. I think you can make straight cuts with a disc, or use the blade to move the wheels around.
When you use a blade to move the wheels around, it’s important to note that you do have to tilt the blade to get it to move around. If you put a small blade in the wheel of your disc, it will move around until it’s at the right angle with the wheel. The left blade of the disc will have a larger wheel than the right.
I’d love to see what you’ve got here. I’ve started to build a lot of things that use a blade. But I’m not sure when I’ll finish this up.
I love wood carving but I need a more durable one. Ive been using a steel disc, but it starts to get really hot when you turn it. So I was thinking about building a disc that uses wood as the wheel. Like this one…
I have been working on a wood carving disc to make an angle grinder. It is made from a piece of 3/4 plank wood, and the blade is made from 3/4 plywood. I made a few different versions of this, but I have yet to finish it. I also have a large book of measurements that I plan to use to make my disc.

The first time I saw the disc for the angle grinder I thought it was a piece of cake, but now I’m getting worried. The only thing is that it’s a really hard wood and I don’t know if it’s strong enough to be used as the edge of a wheel.
