You can’t really hide our pit from the outside. We’ve put up a fence around it, but it’s all covered with a chimney, so there’s no way for the wind to get in. But we have a lot of wood to burn, so we’re keeping a fire going all night and we’re hoping that the wind will blow away the chimney.

Weve had a lot of wood burning along the way, and we’ve made a lot of noise out of it. But if we’re going to keep our pit, it will have to be at least five feet deep. If it’s at least five feet deep, then it’ll be worth it.
The first night we got the pit in, my sister and I were all talking about how it looks like it has a big metal ball of fire in it. The next morning we got the pit out again, and we were all thinking “Oh man, he looks like a big fire pit!” But the next day the pit was no longer there, so it had to be five feet deep. We had to go and get it and the pit had to be three feet deep.
