I love the idea of wood window valances. It’s so simple and yet still elegant. I’m trying to find a way to use the same idea for my home. Using these valances for my windows would be incredibly easy and would add such great style to my home. Plus, you could keep the window closed.

Also, I wonder if it’s possible to make a window valance that can open and close? I mean, a chair would have to be held with a cord so you could open it and close it, and that wouldn’t be that hard if you’re willing to use a chair as a window valance.
If you’re going to open and close the window, you might as well be able to keep the cord at the bottom to keep it from falling out. Otherwise, you’d just get tangled up in the chair and lose your legs. It’s a nice idea, though.
I don’t know. You might be able to do it, but its not something I’d do.
We are going to have to agree with you. You can open and close your window, but that doesnt mean your chair is going to give up all the use of its legs to keep you from falling off. And you might as well be able to do that too. Your window also has a cord to hold it closed, and that means that you might as well be able to keep the cord at the bottom to keep it from falling out.
It’s nice to think we have a new video game with a new mechanic. I mean, it’s just window valances. But while I agree with you that we don’t need a chair that’s going to sit there forever, I think you might be putting too much emphasis on the window in this particular video game. If you open and close the window, you’re still going to have to open and close the window every time you walk through the house.
I think the window is fine as long as you think of it as being a part of the house. The only thing that you are doing wrong is the cord. It is fine to keep the cord out of the way, but that is not doing anything to the valance to begin with. Its a window, not a chair.
