My first thought when I saw these wrought iron fences with wood slats was, “I’m so glad I didn’t buy this fence. I might not be able to walk over these slats as fast as I can on a concrete floor.” My mind went to the thought of a concrete floor and the fence that I’m currently stuck on. This first thought was in fact the opposite of what I was thinking about.
I’ve been thinking about this fence because of a few things. The fence is pretty, it’s very sturdy, and it’s very pretty. But even though I like the fence, I think I might want to be able to actually walk over it. I have a tendency to fall off things and I always try to make sure I’m on a firm surface. The problem with this fence is I don’t think that I can actually walk on it.
Well, the fence is actually pretty sturdy, but you can always just lean over the top (it’s about a foot off the ground) and try.
I would definitely be able to walk on it, but I may not be able to walk on it. I know it’s not in the least bit sturdy, but I’m not exactly confident it can hold my weight, let alone my weight. That’s just my general concern.
And you could always just put it in the way you want it to be. But I guess it doesnt matter anymore because it’s not a straight line anymore. But also, no matter how sturdy it is, it can still fall over.
We know what we’re talking about. And we know there’s nothing wrong with the idea of a straight line. But can it also be one that is not in the least bit sturdy, especially if you have to lean over it? I’m sure you can think of a way to make this straight, but this is just my general thoughts on the matter.
If you can get a fence to not fall over, then its an improvement on the straight line we’ve had for a while! Just make sure you have a way to fix up any little gaps in the fence to get it to stay straight.
I say this because I’m a fence guy. In my 20+ years as a contractor I’ve designed and built hundreds of fence systems, all of which I have to say are one of the best things about going to school is that you get to build fences.
Well, I guess we are a fence guy then.
So my general thoughts. The fence industry is littered with fences that are either too cheap, too flimsy and weak, or have no fence at all. The straight line fence is a great option if you dont have any money, but its not a great option if you do have money. The straight line fence will always look the same regardless of how much money you have.
