I really like this wood burning system. The burn patterns are really nice. All you need is a handful of wood chips and you can have something that looks like it used to be a log. I use it a lot when I do my fire pit and I love the way it looks. It is so much more pleasing than a normal fire pit.
I am kind of a stickler about using natural materials for fire pits and wood fires, because I feel like there is a lot of potential for toxins and other nasty stuff that can build up in a pit that is made from wood when you add wood chips to it. That could be a lot of trouble. But I really like this wood burning system because it is very simple and it burns really hot and well.
The thing is, wood burning is a lot easier than you may think. You don’t have to spend a ton of time in the woods to make your fire. Wood can be gathered in your yard, and it’s a lot easier to make a fire in a pit than it is in a traditional wood burning setup. It’s just easier.

One great solution is the use of a wood stove. Ive been using my wood stove (also known as a wood oven) for about three years now and I love it. I have fire every day for my wood stove and it is well worth the investment. I have the luxury of sitting in my office at work in my pajamas and watching the wood burn. I also have a wood stove at home and thats awesome too.
